April Pereira

Visiting Scholar


April Pereira is currently a visiting student at the Human Factors & Aging (HFA) Laboratory and currently a Ph.D. student in the Cognitive Psychology program at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Her research spans topics such as how/why humans cognitively offload to artificial agents, and how sensory and psychosocial factors interact in older adults and affect their daily lives. In the HFA lab, she is currently focused on how to facilitate and optimize the interaction between domestic robots, older adults, and professional caregivers to support the care of older adults.
